Vodafone gprs access for android applications

I have had issues running Vodafone gprs over my android phone(Samsung galaxy SL).Although the web browser had full access but my applications didn't use to run over gprs... i tried d customer care but to no good...then i googled a little n found dat d APN globally used is www whereas i was aloted portalnmms n dat said it all... my gprs was for my web portal and mms only... i changed it to www and everything came on track... i can run all the application over gprs now.. so remember :-
